Toddlers Unlimited is a progressive school that believes that children learn through play, active exploration, concrete experiences, and interaction with materials, peers, and adults.
We are guided by developmentally appropriate principles in child development, as specified by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), an organization founded in the United States.
The developmentally appropriate curriculum for young children provides for all areas of a child's development: physical, social, emotional, and cognitive.
In short, Toddlers Unlimited follows a process-oriented way of teaching wherein the teachers provide children opportunities to explore a wide variety of materials. The child's enjoyment and learning through these explorations are given more importance than the final product or outcome.
Because of the positive experiences these children have at Toddlers Unlimited, they become ready to move on to more structured settings and do quite well in big schools when the time comes.
Success rate of admission to the "big school" of their choice is approximately 98%. Most children move on to Rosemont, Ridgefield, De La Salle - Zobel, The Learning Child, Casa Montessori Alabang, Brent International School, The British School, and Euro Campus. We also have a couple of children who have been accepted at De La Salle Greenhills, Xavier School and Immaculate Conception Academy in San Juan, Ateneo de Manila in Quezon City, Assumption and Colegio San Agustin in Makati, and Laguna Bel-Air School (an affiliate of Philippine Science School).
Toddlers Unlimited encourages parent participation by inviting them to be parent-teacher volunteers in the classroom or on field trips and home visits.
Parents are welcome to join their child's class to do an activity with the children or to join in during storytelling time. Parents are also welcome to give suggestions and share their resources such as books, videos, photos, and materials.
Whenever new themes are being taught, parents are kept updated through a correspondence notebook which both the parents & the teachers use to keep each other informed about concerns, progress, field trips, events, etc.
Toddlers Unlimited also circulates a newsletter entitled, Toddlers Bulletin, which includes articles written by the teachers, school reminders, and summarized reports on the latest in child development.
At Toddlers Unlimited, quality education and first class child-care are the top priorities. These are what we have been known for and these are the standards we will always strive to uphold.
